This Porsche 356 Speedster Puts Family First
Play
In the fourth generation of a family of coachbuilders, Rosita grew up surrounded in every way by cars, from the Ferraris her mechanic father picked her up from school in, to the toy cars he brought home for his children. Thing is, even though the family worked on primarily Italian cars, her father's true love was with Porsche.

They may be Rota RB wheels. Minilites are long out of production, but a number of vendors have produced look-alikes. The only common producer of a Minilite wheel, sold here in the US, is Rota. They are a little heavy. The Minilite design, light for the time, is a heavier design than many available contemporary wheels, such as an Enkei RFP1 . This said, they are period correct for this car, they are structurally sound for a street car driven assertively, and they are affordably priced. In this form and in this colour it looks good without the waist high trim, I put mine back on recently, mine being a less modified example and painted black, I think the trim helps define the shape.
Anyway, a great looking 02 and a proper owner.

As an aside, the 02 has a great online community, one of the best.

My impression is that belt line trim is truly hard to find in good condition. Any number of builders doing a resto-mod simply forgo attempting to find a set in good condition.

School ride @1978 complete with my mate’s milf. A great little car and certainly fun to be driven in as kids. This looks pretty nice.

Cool video as always. Obviously car designers must have a thing for modified 2002’s. I’m acquainted with one of the designers at a certain very famous British sports and supercar manufacturer that has a (less heavily modified) 2002 and uses it regularly.

Not a fan of 2002, still, what a brilliant video and attitude this guy has towards its car!

Cheers from Portugal

Almost nothing can bring a smile quicker in the morning after that first cup of coffee than a well resto-modded 2002 ! And the only thing better than the car is the owner/builders attitude ! As in …. Its a freaking car not a piece of art ! So do what you need to do to enjoy it and then driver the holy H-E double hockey sticks outta the thing . This .. is a guy I could knock a few beers back with !

The only negative impact here being the fact that had I had half a brain and a modicum of common sense back in my way too much money way too quickly for one so young days I’d of left the ‘ F ‘ words to the gentry and bought/hopped up a 2002 .. and a 356/911 Outlaw to go with it . All bets being I’d still have both if I had …. snif ….

Questions Petrolicious bunch ;

Where’s the companion article and how does one buy Mr Muntean’s artwork ?

And here is our feature on Radu Muntean’s art: http://petrolicious.com/wc98r
