Ferrari 312PB Ends An Era With A Bang

That glorious noise, is what’s missing from today’s LMP machines. The symphony of all the interconnected mechanical components (and many multiplied by 12 ;)) going at mind-blowingly high speed/revolution.. is just irreplaceable with modern technology. Also, it’s great to know the owner takes this beauty out to really step on it! My utmost respect to you Mr. Read!

I know that everyone has their favorite car, or favorite Ferrari. For me this is my favorite Ferrari of all time. People talk about what a great noise a car or engine makes. I am among those that disagree with the concept of “noise”. This car does not make a noise, it makes a sound. A sound that is nothing less than magical. This entire car is magical. Thank you for this video Petrolicious. It is just fantastic! I only have one complaint. And it’s a big one! Why, oh why, could this video not have been something like……..2 hours long! 😉

Errr … not to be pedantic or anything but …. the 333 SP was in fact Ferrari’s last hurrah Sports Prototype here in the US . Granted it wasn’t an ‘ official ‘ Scuderia Ferrari entrant [ though in fact it was more ‘ official ‘ than Ferrari was ever willing to own up to … as well as it coming within a hairs breath of going international ] … but the last hurrah of Ferrari sports prototypes in US racing it was . And what a glorious and incredibly beautiful , dominating car it was as well . Worthy of an article here in my opinion . Ciao !
Oh great, now I’m gonna bore all my non-car friends with tales of this car and video. On the other hand, this video could be the litmus test for the car gene: no effect = no car gene, or might be clinically dead.
