Modified Mini Also Races

My father was a race car driver and could race anything on four wheels, I think that’s how I learned my love for cars. Since then, I haven’t looked back. This is my fifth Mini and I bought it from a man about to begin a full rebuild. But the car had no rust at all and the chassis numbers are intact on the floor! So I bought it. I just love the classic look, history, handling, sound, and usability of the car.

It was completely rebuilt in 2007 with some upgrades: it has a metro 1300cc engine with HIF44 carburetor, Group A heavy-duty racing suspesion with Spax 50th Anniversary Paddy Hopkins shocks, four-piston brakes, thirteen-inch chrome, superlight wheels with Pirelli P5000 tyres, Sportspack arches and Group N exhaust. I also installed a full leather interior with an Isotta Katiena leather steering wheel, Isotta GP1 shift knob, and other Isotta accessories.

And while it’s pretty, I have raced it on a track against VW racing Beetles and managed to win. Over the years, I’ve learned every part of my Mini so I have a strong connection to it. I especially love the chrome wheels and the full white leather interior because these two changes distinguish my Mini a little bit. Following those mods, I love (with the modification I’ve made) the ultimate handing the car now has and the comfort on any type of road.
