The average car dealer sells hundreds—and sometimes thousands—of vehicles per year, a number that has only increased in recent times. For a family-run Ford dealership in Sherbrooke, Québec, Canada, it just so happens that a particular one-owner Ford Mustang V8 Convertible from its past has come back—and this time, it’s not for sale.

Petrolicious reader Felix Dionne submitted this remarkably beautiful and, importantly, original 1967 example, with a story that goes something like this. Dionne’s grandfather founded Automobiles Val Estrie Ford Lincoln in 1962, with his father and uncle becoming owners a few years ago.

In 1967, Dionne’s grandfather sold this car to a customer, Mr. Baillargeon, who kept it for 48 years before selling it back to the dealership this year. That’s almost unheard of—as we all know, some muscle cars change hands faster than you’d change your socks! Better still, Dionne’s grandfather is still working at the dealership, only now with a memento from one of its more dedicated customers.

Hummmmm ok? The 66 Mustang GT Convertible with pony interior that went to The Quail this year has a better story behind it.

Miss my ’65 GT. 🙁
Factory four speed, Cobra valve covers. Car was hooked up. Ahh, to be 18 again.
I think I paid $S2500 cash for it. 😉

* $ 1500. (obviously, back in the day).

Where is the secret edit button, again?

It’s sweet to find an article that take place in Québec! (My country.) Very amazingly maintained, though.
